Temple of Two Waters

THE STEWARDS
Temple of Two Waters is guided by the leadership of an all Black and Indigenous queer and trans governing board of advisors, who have roots in the lands our sites are based in, and who we refer to as our stewardship council. Our stewards carry deep experience in organizing, land stewardship, arts and culture, healing justice and community care, disaster response and recovery, liberatory governance and decolonial organizational development, and who are deeply practiced in centering queer and trans revelry and joy. Decisions are made using a consensus based model within the board.

The majority of our stewardship council also steward sibling land projects across Turtle Island which primarily serve QTBIPOC. Together we create a constellation of interconnected safe spaces for our people to gather, heal, practice ancestral ways, and know freedom and safety.

Beyond our stewardship council, Temple of Two Waters is additionally supported by a constellation of advisors and mentors who bring expertise in land stewardship, radical real estate, agriculture, cooperative structures, and more.

In order to protect the identities of our stewards in this time of growing fascism, information on our team is not currently publicized but is available by request and as part of diligence processes.
